Description

Ocumagna is the first boss of Monster World, appearing in the forest after the player completes tier 2. It has several vines with mouths resembling carnivorous plants, and a very large eye, which disappears in the boss' second phase.

Gameplay

Ocumagna has 200 hit points, attacks for around 12-18 damage, and can apply the Predictable debuff to the player - if two of the same Ability are played in one turn, Predictable activates and the second one is banished.

Once Ocumagna reaches 100 hit points, it enters the second phase, and all of the player's status effects are cleared.

Strategy

If your strategy heavily relies on buffing yourself with a lot of Auras, you'll be underprepared for phase 2. For an Aura-reliant deck to survive phase 2 of Ocumagna, it needs either two of each Aura it plans to use or good luck with Time Manipulation, the neutral Ability that can return played Abilities to the Draw Pile, even Auras that would otherwise be banished. This allows the player to build back up after every status effect is cleared, so dealing the last 100 damage will be almost as easy as the first 100 damage.
